I look into the night and what do I see? I see darkness, nothing at all no birds flying free
But as I glare into the night, I see a light that shines so bright
I see a star, a source of light from afar
In the darkness the star brings light
As it brings me hope in a world of war and plight
A star can inspire someone to stop the war
A star can help make violence no more
People say a star is a ball of gas, burning in space
But I know the truth: A star can make better the world, which is now a disgrace
